Custom patches in the UK typically take 7–12 business days of production plus shipping after you approve the proof. The Customized Patches sends a free digital mockup usually within 12 hours of a complete quote. We do not cut thread, weave, print, or mold until that approval is in writing. If you count from the first email with a screenshot and no size, the job has not started yet.

Weekends and UK bank holidays sit outside business days. A mockup sent Friday afternoon is not the same as a mockup sent Monday morning.
What a “complete quote” includes
- Patch type: embroidered, woven, printed, PVC, chenille, leather, or 3D puff.
- Size in inches on the longest side.
- Quantity per design (5 minimum).
- Backing: sew-on, iron-on, or Velcro (hook, loop, or both).

Does patch type change the lead time?
The published window is the same band for our standard UK process: 7–12 business days of production plus shipping after approval. Dense embroidery, a PVC mold, or a chenille letter can sit toward the longer end of that band. A simple 2.5-inch embroidered disc with a merrowed edge often sits toward the shorter end. We will say if your file is an outlier on the mockup, not after you have booked a van.
What actually delays custom patches
- Screenshot logos that have to be redrawn before a honest mockup.
- Changing size after you approved a 2.5-inch proof.
- Adding a second colourway and treating it as the same 5-piece line — it is not. See small 5-piece runs.
- Forgetting backing until the goods are on a machine.
- Waiting until seven days before picture day to send the file.

Rush is available on request when capacity allows. It is not a substitute for a missing vector. If opening day is inside two weeks, say the hard date on the quote in the first message. How to keep a UK order on the 7–12 day path
- Send the original file, size, quantity, type, and backing in one quote.
- Reply to the mockup with a clear yes, or a numbered list of changes.
- Do not mix two sizes in one design line.
- Approve early in the week if you are counting business days to a Saturday event.
