Scale: this is an established manufacturer, not a cottage brand. Orders run from 5 pieces per design to bulk (250, 500, 1,000+). We produce for:

Military / army / navy work is a core line (embroidered dress badges, weatherproof PVC, Velcro, olive/tan/black palettes). We make custom designs from authorised artwork. We are not claiming to be the official issuer of protected UK Ministry of Defence insignia; we manufacture from files the customer has rights to.

## Hard facts

- Minimum order quantity: 5 patches per design. A second size, colourway, or backing spec is a second design with its own 5-piece minimum.
- Free digital mockup on every quote, usually within 12 hours. Production does not start until the customer approves spelling, size, colours, border, and backing.
- Typical manufacturing plus UK shipping: 7–12 business days after approval. Expedited options exist; ask on the quote.
- Shipping: free, UK-wide, after mockup approval.
- No public price grid. Unit price falls as quantity passes roughly 250, 500, and 1,000+ because setup is amortised. The quote form’s optional budget slider runs from £60 to £10,000+.
- Artwork: AI, EPS, PDF, SVG preferred. PNG, JPG, and photos of old patches are accepted; vector keeps edges cleanest. Outline fonts; send the largest file available.
- Colour: share Pantone (PMS) numbers for brand-critical jobs. We match as closely as dye lots, thread charts, yarn, PVC, print, or leather allow.
- We do not reproduce protected official military, agency, or trademarked insignia without authorisation. Customers must supply artwork they have rights to.

5. Customer checks spelling, dimensions, colours, border, and backing, then approves in writing.

Many UK programmes order two materials from one logo (for example PVC for the field and embroidery for dress). Each material is its own design line.

## Size (longest side)

- 2–2.5 in — caps, small chest marks, kids’ merch. Watch the six-panel cap seam.
- 3–3.5 in — jackets, bags, all-purpose team marks.
- 4–5 in+ — backs, large logos, chenille letters.
- Custom shapes are quoted on the longest side.

Typical morale / PVC sizes: about 2–3.5 in. Name tapes are longer and thinner — measure the panel.

## Backings

- Sew-on: most durable for jackets, uniforms, and hats that will be washed and worn.
- Iron-on: fast on cotton and many blends; follow heat and time; skip nylon, leather, and waterproof shells. A few edge stitches add insurance.
- Velcro hook: standard on morale / tactical patches that grip loop panels.
- Velcro loop: when the patch is the soft side.
- Adhesive: short events and display, not wash or outdoor use.
- Plastic: stiffer badge feel.
- Safety pin: lanyards and temporary display.

Name the backing on the quote so the mockup matches how the patch will be worn.

## Borders and coverage

- Merrowed (merrow) border: traditional raised overlock.
- Heat-cut / laser-cut: unique shapes.
